The precursors to the Olympians, Kronos, their leader and his sister Rhea, were the parents to the main six Olympian Gods. In fulfilment of a prophecy that his progeny would end him and replace the Titans. He devoured each new born child, except Zues, who through his mother's intervention escaped this fate. Later, Zues took revenge on Kronos and the devoured Olympians were reborn.
